  2. The first thing you do in making a graph is knowing the independent varaibeal and the dependent. The independent is time that goes on the X axias. Time dos not depend on anything every thing depends on time. The dependent varabieal is out on the Y axis and depends on time. Like cans sold over time from 4:00 to 6:00 and if they dident sell and in 30 minutes time still goes on. Then you put tick marks on the Y and X axis. It depends what you count on the tick marks by how far the last number goes.

  3. First thing I would do is put the on the axis on the graph.
I would use the independent variable as the x axis and the dependent variable on the y axis.
Then I would put the points on the graph and check if I needed to put the lines on it.
The way I would do that is by seeing if the graph is is showing a change over time. If it is a change over time then I would put the lines on the graph. If the graph does not show a change over time then I won’t put the line on the graph.

  4. A variable symbolizes for a value that may vary. Example if cans and time of cans sold would be the two variables. The first step to making a graph with variables is to have the data all aligned ad ready to go.Step 2 is you have to have your graph all set up with putting the y and x axis in the right place. Step 3 plot your data in the right places! That’s a few steps into making a graph. When there are dots of information its usually good to connect the lines to make it easier. Or you can use it because if theres time involved time still goes on. So if the lines arent connected and there are dots that are by themselves that mean time stopped but it never stops. That’s how the lines work to connect. Well that’s what I learned these two weeks.

  5. The first step in making a graph is to show the relationship between to variables is to make a coordinate graph and then you label the x and y axis’s and the independent variable goes on the x-axis and the dependent variable goes on the y-axis for example like number of cans sold (y-axis) time (x-axis) and then make the graph from those two variables and the relationship iswhen the to variables come together as one to make a graph!!!

  7. The first thing you do is make a graph and label the intervals on the graph. After that you label your x and y-axis but to figure out witch goes where, time always goes on the x-axis and what ever goes on the x-axis is the independent variable. Whatever the other label is goes on the y-axis and is the dependent variable. Then you have to give your graph a title and make the points.

  8. First you would make your graph. Then you would make your x-axis which is horizontal. Next you would make your y-axis which is vertical. Now you would start making a scale that matches tha data. Then you would start plotting your pionts. Next you would connect your points together. The indepent variable always goes on the x-axis. The dependent variable always goes on the y-axis.

  9. First I would make a coordinate graph. Then I would make a scale. Then I would label my x-axis the independent. Example the time would be on the x-axis. On the y-axis I would label the dependent variable. Then I would but a title on my graph. Then I would plot my points on the graph. Then I would connect the lines if the graph was on the x-axis was period over time.

  10. you only connect your points if your dealing with time because there is space between time.

  11. The first step in making a coordinate graph is classifying your X and Y axes. Your X axis has to always be the independet variable. For example, time could be your independent Variable beacues you can never change or stop time. Your Y axis always has to be the dependent variable. For example, The number of cans sold at a vendinng machine could be the dependent variable because that can change frequetnly. In a coordinate graph, you have an option to connect your points of not. I would connect the points so that you would be able to see the trend better.

  12. The first step to making a graph is to lable and find your intivals. Then you should start ploting points on the graph. Always make sure to have a title. The variables you should put on the the y-axis is the dependant variable. The vaiable you should put on the x-axis is always the independent variable and time always goes on the x-axis because it always is idependant. The time you should connect your points is if each point has value.

  13. The first step in making a graph is to decide which variable goes where. You have your x-axis and your y-axis. Your x-axis would always be the independent variable. Time is an example of independent variable, because time goes on no matter what. Your y-axis would always be the dependent variable. Hight is and example of a dependent variable, because it is always depending on the time. When you are dealing with time as a variable you would always connect the points, because time goes on and so does the other variable.

  14. This week we learn about graphs and tables. We also learn about varibles . We learn that variables are like thenuber of cans or like how many hours there is. The way to make a graph starts with a y and x axis. Table are more accurate. I like graphs better than table because it is more easier to see the information. Tables just give you the numbers of the problem but it dosent show if it increases or decreases.

  15. First, you need to separate the variables into independent and dependent onto the x and y axis. The independent variable is always the x-axis, which is the horizontal line. The dependent variable is always the y-axis, which is the vertical line. If one of the variables is time then that is the independent variable because time cannot be changed so it’s the independent variable, which is on the x-axis. The other variable would be dependent, which is going to be on the y-axis. Make a scale that fits with your data on the x and y axis, they can be different scales. If one of the variables is time, then you should connect the lines because if you do then you can see wherever they are at any point on your graph, even if it isn’t on one of the tick marks on the scale.

  16. When your are making a graph there is going to be a dependent and independent varibale ex: an independent varible would be time because time does not depend on any thing something may stop but time keeps going. A dependent varible depends on something else to sometimes keep it up. When you make a graph you start by drawing your graph, the independent varible goes on the x-axis and the dependent varible on the y-axis. You number your graph by what ever set of numbers you are using when you have two parentheszied numbers you plot them on the coordinate graph. This is my small little explanation and …… Enjoy.

  17. Steps to making a graph
First thing you do is identify the two variables (known as the independent and the dependent variables). Next you selevt an axis to represent each variable. The independent variable or time is always known to go on the horizontal line, the x-axis. The dependent variabnle is alwasys known to go on the y-axis. Then lable the graph with whatever necicary to the problem like title, numbering or lables for the x and y-axis. Last you plot the points acording to the problem.

  18. you would have to create the y-axis first. then you would create the x-axis off of the y- axis.I would put the independent variable on x- axis, and put the dependent variable on the y- axis. And I would connect the dots because it is showing change over time.

  19. first i would make the x and y axis, then i would put the independent varible on the x-axis and the dependent varible on the y-axis. then i would plot the points and connect the dots to show a change over time.

  20. The first thing you do to make a graph the labeling. The x-axis is your independent variable, and also the horizontal line. The y-axis is the vertical line and the dependent variable on the graph. (Time is always the independent variable.)
Next, you would make a scale on each side. If the independent variable were over time then you would connect your lines, but if it is not with time then you do not use line segments to connect the coordinates.

  21. To make a graph you will need 2 variables. You can make a coordinate graph to show the relationships between the variables. You will have an x and y axis. The y axis is the dependent variable and the x axis is the independent variable. You will need to label both. You will also need to label your scales and add a title for the graph. You need to plot your coordinate pairs on the x axis is first then it is the y axis.

  22. First thing you do in making a graph is to find your variables. After you find your variables you figure out which one is the y-axis and which one is the x-axis. You can find out if it is on the y-axis easy if you can controlled it, it goes on the y-axis. To find what goes on the x-axis is what you can’t controlled like time unless you are timing how long it takes for something to dissolve or anything else like that. After you label your graph you then start to put your numbers on the x and y-axis. Last you would point you data onto your graph and make sure you title your graph. Nathan DeGrado

  23. first thing you do when you make a graph is draw it and give it a title, after, you lable the x and y axis.then you make the scale and then put the points on it and if it changes over time u connect the points
